Aleem Nabighods is Green Plan’s inhouse expert on environmental projects including soil and vegetation assessments, water quality monitoring and land reclamation planning. He also provides expertise on water and wastewater management.

He has an environmental degree in environmental science from Gorgan University of Agricultural and Natural Recourses Science, and a diploma in Conservation Biology and a Water and Wastewater Treatment Certificate from NAIT. He received his designation from Alberta Institute of Agrologist as a Professional Agrologist in 2013 and professional  biologist (in Alberta and B.C.) since 2023.

Aleem’s has 15 years of professional experience having worked with; Pedocan Land Evaluation, Novanait Research Centre, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), Paragon Soil and Environmental Consulting and Dow Chemical. He also worked for IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) on habitat quality improvement, soil conservation, and watershed management projects.

He has worked with all types of industries and projects ranging from rural municipalities to large corporations such as Shell, Imperial Oil, Trans Canada and Inter Pipeline.

Aleem loves the outdoors and has a passion for bird watching especially around the Edmonton River Valley.
